Wilsonara Pacific Passage 'Peach Cobbler'
Wilsonara is an intergeneric cross between three genera (Cochlioda, Odontoglossum and Oncidium (Cda. x Odm. x Onc.)). Wilsonara orchids are known for their quick growth habits and reliable yearly flowering. This variety produces spotty cream and orange blooms that do the name 'Peach Cobbler' justice. A very forgiving orchid great for beginners.
Plant may vary from pictured. Unless stated otherwise, this plant will not arrive in bloom or spike.
WILSONARA CARE INFO:
Potting mix: Fine bark or fine bark and long fiber sphagnum mix. Repot in Spring once root bound (1-2 years).
Light: Bright indirect - medium light. Not picky about window direction but prefers to be within 3 ft of a window or plant light. Protect leaves from direct sun exposure to prevent bleaching.
Water: Water frequently (check the bark every other day) when media is near dry. Do not allow to stay dry for long periods (pseudobulbs will shrivel, leaves will crisp and "accordion").
Temp: Intermediate-warm (55F min night, 90F max day).
Humidity: 40-60%, tolerant of low humidity.
Fertilizing: Heavy feeding Spring-Summer. 1/2 strength urea-free fertilizer, every other watering as new roots and leaves emerge. Decrease to monthly in winter once growth begins to slow. Run room temperature clean tap water through the potting mix once monthly to prevent salt build up.
