Schoenorchis phitamii (mount)

Super mini intermediate-warm growing orchid from Vietnam. Must be grown mounted and allowed to dry between waterings. Take care not to get excess water in the crown of the plant or you may get rot. Produces very compact clusters of tiny pink flowers. We love it. Great for terrariums. 

This is a mature, blooming size plant mounted on plastic placard. Photo is representative of the plant you will receive. Unless otherwise stated, it will not arrive in bloom or spike. 

SCHOENORCHIS CARE INFO:

Potting mix: Mounted with moss.  

Light: Bright indirect. Must be given ample water and humidity for brighter locations. No direct light.

Water: Water frequently in hot months as the media reaches dry. This one likes drying between waterings but doesn't want to stay dry. Doesn't need a rest period.

Temp: Intermediate-warm (55F min, 95F max). Prefers warm.

Humidity: 60-80%, prefers medium-high humidity. Ensure good air circulation for terrarium or greenhouse growing.

Fertilizing: 1/4-1/2 strength urea-free fertilizer, every month as new roots and leaves emerge. Run clean tap water through the growing media once monthly to prevent salt buildup. Light feeders - less is more. Drop fertilizer amount in winter to help with plant cycling.
