Also known as the Horse Head Philodendron. Likes to climb and will produce large fenestrated leaves. Easy for aroid fans.
CARE INFO:
Potting mix: Well-draining soil and perlite/bark mix. Repot in Spring every 1-2 years when root bound. Can be staked to encourage climbing.
Light: Bright indirect-medium light. South or West facing preferred.
Water: Water when 2-3 inches of soil is dry.
Temp: Intermediate-warm (60F min night, 85F max day).
Humidity: 30-50%+, prefers consistent moderately high humidity when good air flow is provided. Tolerant of lower humidity with adequate watering.
Fertilizing: Slow release fertilizer (Osmocote recommended) applied at the beginning of Spring and again in mid-late summer. Alternatively, 1/2 strength soluble 20-20-20 fertilizer applied twice monthly starting in Spring-Summer. Decrease or stop in winter.
