Pachira aquatica, commonly known as a "Money Tree", is a wetland tropical species that has large, attractive star-shaped leaves. It is often sold with its trunks woven together and represents luck and good fortune. One of the easiest and most well known indoor trees.

CARE INFO:
Potting mix: Moisture-retentive soil mix. Repot in Spring every 1-2 years or when root bound.
Light: Bright indirect-medium light. South or shielded West facing preferred.
Water: Water thoroughly when near dry. Not drought tolerant.
Temp: Warm (60F min night, 85F max day). Keep above 50F.
Humidity: 30-70%. Not picky, but will appreciate higher humidity.
Fertilizing: Slow release fertilizer (Osmocote recommended) applied at the beginning of Spring and beginning of fall. Alternatively, full strength soluble 20-20-20 fertilizer applied 4x per year during active growth. Decrease in Winter.
