Oncidium Sweet Sugar 'Lemon Drop' HCC/AOS
Very similar to Oncidium Gower Ramsey 'Pure Yellow' EXCEPT the blooms are 2in large! Will produce big sprays of blooms of a bright yellow color. Quite an eye-catching plant. Blooms last about 1-2 months.
ONCIDIUM CARE:
Potting mix: Fine bark or fine bark and sphagnum mix. Repot in Spring once root bound.
Light: Bright indirect - medium light. Place within 3 feet of a window or plant light. Not picky about window direction. Protect leaves from direct sun exposure.
Water: Water frequently in hot months when media is near dry. Do not allow to stay dry for long periods (pseudobulbs will shrivel, leaves will crisp and "accordion").
Temp: Intermediate-warm (55F min night, 90F max day).
Humidity: 30-60%, tolerant of low humidity.
Fertilizing: Heavy feeding Spring-Summer. 1/2-1/4 strength urea-free fertilizer, every other watering as new roots and leaves emerge. Decrease in winter as growth slows. Flush the pot with tap water once monthly to remove mineral build up.
