Moss Art Class (U-District)

Join us for an hour of playing with mosses and lichens! In this class you will make your very own piece of moss art with instruction by moss and botanical artist Etaane Neumann. In addition to putting together your own moss piece you will learn some of the fundamentals of composition and design that can be carried into other visual art forms. One frame per person, however extras can be purchased if desired.
This is a beginner friendly class.
Optional purchases can be made but are not required for participation. Local only!
Includes the following:
- Frame (10-12 inch)
- Preserved moss (dyed and undyed)
- Gloves (optional but recommended)
What you bring:
- Your lovely self (and maybe a friend)

This class was so much fun! I took it because I like crafting, making art, and plants, so trying my hand at moss art seemed like a great way to combine my interests. Etaane was a wonderful, informative, and encouraging teacher. She taught us about the basics of composition and color theory before we dived into creating our moss art. All the supplies were provided which was great. We all had a blast playing with the colored moss, experimenting, and making our 3D art pieces. I enjoyed it so much, I’m thinking about taking the class again. Highly recommended!
