MILTONIA CARE INFO:
Potting mix: Fine bark and long fiber sphagnum mix. Repot in Spring every year. Will not tolerate stale potting media.
Light: Bright indirect - medium light. Window direction doesn't matter as long as it is within 3 feet of a window and shaded to protect the leaves from direct sun exposure.
Water: Water frequently in hot months when media has reached dry. Do not allow to stay dry for long periods (pseudobulbs will shrivel, leaves will dry and drop). Good drainage and air flow will prevent rot in lower light conditions.
Temp: Intermediate-warm (60F min night, 85F max day). Will tolerate 90F with >70% humidity.
Humidity: 40-80%, tolerant of moderate humidity with adequate watering.
Fertilizing: Light feeding Spring-Summer. 1/4 strength urea-free fertilizer, every other watering as new roots and leaves emerge. Decrease to once monthly in Winter. Run clean room temperature tap water through the pot once monthly to prevent salt build up. Use Better Grow Better Bloom fertilizer monthly in Spring to encourage blooming.
