Beautiful fuzzy white and red-bordered flowers. Dracula (monkey-faced orchid) species native to the cloud forests of Ecuador. Blooms from the bottom or sides of the plant. Grow hanging to allow blooms to droop down. Draculas can be challenging for indoor growing and are recommended for intermediate-advanced cultivators. Floriferous! Intermediate grower, one of the easier Dracula species. Put in a cool shady spot in the greenhouse or in a large terrarium. Blooms at random throughout the growing season.

Blooming size. Plant pictured is an example showing off the blooms and potential. This was a division from a large older plant. Rooted.

Potting mix: Long fiber sphagnum, fine bark, or mounted with moss. Net pot recommended. These can be sensitive to repotting so it's better to let them get big before dividing.

Light: Low-medium light. Shade is your friend. These do well in terrariums.

Water: Keep evenly moist and do not allow to get fully dry

Temp: Intermediate (55F min night, 85F absolute max day). Prefers cool.

Humidity: 60-80%, requires high humidity.

Fertilizing: 1/2-1/4 strength urea-free fertilizer, every other watering as new roots and leaves emerge. Stop all fertilizing in winter. General rule: begin in Spring, stop in late Fall.
