Rare leafless neotropical orchid genus native to Mexico and Central America. Dendrophylax lindenii is famously discussed in the book The Orchid Thief as the elusive "ghost orchid" as it is both rare, and an extremely finicky and infrequent bloomer. This closely related species from the Cayman Islands is on the easier side to grow and has thin white blooms with long spurs and an apple fragrance.

Must be grown mounted and in high humidity. Blooming time varies but is often in summer. Blooming size orchid mounted on cork bare root.
