Dendrobium Stardust 'Firebird' 4in

This is a blooming size orchid in a 4" pot. Unless stated, orchids will not arrive in spike or bloom. A hybrid that comes from Dendrobium unicum (the unique Dendrobium), a bright orange nobile-type with resupinate (upside down) flowers that smell like Emergen-C or artificial orange. Deciduous orchid that sheds its leaves and goes dormant in Fall and Winter, then blooms from the bare canes in Spring and Summer. New growth resumes in late Spring.

High light, dry rest period in winter

Fine-coarse bark. Likes to dry between waterings. Water very sparingly during the winter rest if at all. 

Deciduous! Will drop leaves in winter and bloom in spring. Do not be alarmed.
