Dendrobium Regal Vista
Latouria-type Dendrobiums are vigorous growers and easy bloomers provided they are given enough light. As a general rule, dendrobiums generally enjoy warmer, wetter Spring-Fall and cooler, drier Winters. This is a bright yellow variety that stays very compact. No winter dry period required but cutting back on watering and fertilizing is recommended.
Plant may vary from the one pictured. Mature blooming size plant.
Potting mix: Coarse orchid bark or well-draining bark mix. Repot in Spring once root bound.
Light: Bright indirect - partial direct light. Shaded South or West facing preferred. Bright North is also acceptable.
Water: Water frequently in hot months when media is dry, decrease but don't stop in the cold months.
Temp: Intermediate-warm (55F min night, 90F max day).
Humidity: 30-60%, tolerant of low humidity with adequate watering.
Fertilizing: 1/2 strength urea-free fertilizer, every other watering as new roots and leaves emerge. Decrease or stop fertilizing in winter. General rule: begin in Spring, stop in Winter.
Arrived well-packed and healthy, with many canes (more than in the picture). It has bloomed already so definitely blooming size! I am looking forward to next year. Excellent communication from Etaane...asked me if I would like to delay shipping until after Christmas to avoid it sitting in the cold during delays.
