An exciting hybrid between the bright indigo Den. victoria reginae and blush pink form of Den. cuthbertsonii. These have the compact form of cuthbertsonii but are definitely growing in the manner of reginae. A gentle winter rest is recommended. Decrease watering and fertilizing, allowing it to dry out very slightly between waterings. High humidity is recommended as both species enjoy it. Pygmy size. This may not be a great one for beginners and both species are often described as challenging.

Pictured are examples of the parents. Mature blooming size plant.

CARE INFO:

Potting mix: Fine orchid bark, sphagnum. Prefers to grow mounted with sphagnum. Repot in Spring once root bound.

Light: Medium-low. Bright North or east recommended. Keep an eye out for leaf drop signaling over-exposure.

Water: Water frequently in hot months when media is dry, decrease but don't stop in the cold months.

Temp: Intermediate-cool (50F min night, 75F max day).

Humidity: 60-80%, prefers consistent high humidity.

Fertilizing: 1/2 strength urea-free fertilizer, every other watering as new roots and leaves emerge. Decrease or stop fertilizing in winter. General rule: begin in Spring, stop in Winter.
