Deciduous species native to India, Myanmar, and parts of Thailand. Fragrant egg-like flowers last about a month or so. Pseudobulbs will get very long/tall and drop their leaves in fall. A dry winter period is required. Reliable bloomer! Very cute.

Compact-ish. But as these get older with more growths they can put out an impressive number of blooms.

NOBILE DENDROBIUM CARE INFO:

Potting mix: Coarse orchid bark or fast-draining bark mix. Mounted with moss and allowed to dangle. Repot in Spring once root bound. Do not allow bark to become waterlogged.

Light: Bright indirect - partial direct light. Shaded South or West facing preferred. Bright North is also acceptable.

Water: Water frequently in hot months when media is dry. Stop in the cold months, watering only enough to prevent dramatic shriveling of the canes. These enjoy rapid wet/dry cycles. 

Temp: Intermediate-warm (55F min night, 90F max day).

Humidity: 40-80%, tolerant of low humidity with adequate watering.

Fertilizing: 1/2 strength urea-free fertilizer, every other watering as new roots and leaves emerge. Decrease or stop fertilizing in winter. General rule: begin in Spring, stop in Winter.
