Very compact Sophronitis-type primary hybrid. Pictured are the parents. Floriferous with bright red blooms, small, prefers intermediate-cool temperatures. Fragrant, and will put out 2-3 blooms at a time. If you're interested in Sophronitis but aren't sure if you're at the right skill level this is a great option.
Pictures are representative of blooms but are not the blooms from this exact plant. Blooming size plant. Will not arrive in bud or bloom unless stated.
SOPHRONITIS/CATTLEYA CARE INFO:
Potting mix: Fine orchid bark, loose sphagnum, or mounted. Repot when pot bound in Spring.
Light: Bright indirect - partial direct light. Shaded South or West facing preferred.
Water: Water frequently in hot months when media is fully dry, decrease dramatically or stop in cold months. After flowering a dry rest period follows.
Temp: Cool-intermediate (50F min night, 80F max day). Be careful with high temps!
Humidity: 50-80%, too dry of conditions can result in stunted and slowed growth.
Fertilizing: 1/2 strength urea-free fertilizer, every other watering as new roots and leaves emerge. Do not fertilize during winter rest period after flowering until new growth is observed in spring.
