Bulb. comosum (mount)
Bulbophyllum comosum is a species of orchid native to Burma and prodcues feather-like blooms in variable seasons. High humidity plant that prefers not to dry out completely or stay dry for long. Low-medium light orchid that's compact and would be an excellent terrarium plant. Can also be grown potted. Leaf shed is normal and they will often bloom from the leafless bulbs.
This is a mature, blooming size plant mounted on plastic placard. Unless otherwise stated, it will not arrive in bloom or spike.
BULBOPHYLLUM CARE INFO:
Potting mix: Fine bark or long fiber sphagnum, potted shallow. Mounted with moss.
Light: Shaded medium-low. Must be given ample water and humidity for brighter locations.
Water: Water frequently in hot months as the media reaches dry. These prefer moist conditions, do not allow them to fully dry out or stay dry for long. Enjoys a mild rest period of decreased watering and fertilizing in winter.
Temp: Intermediate-warm (55F min, 85F max).
Humidity: 60-80%, prefers medium-high humidity. Ensure good air circulation for terrarium or greenhouse growing.
Fertilizing: 1/4-1/2 strength urea-free fertilizer, every month as new roots and leaves emerge. Run clean tap water through the growing media once monthly to prevent salt buildup. Light feeders - less is more.
