Brs. Kenneth Bivin 'Santa Barbara' HCC/AOS' is an award winning spindle-flowered primary hybrid (Oncidium cariniferum x Brassia arcuigera). Blooms of over 4 inches with burgundy spotting and extra long yellow tips. A rewarding orchid perfect for beginners. These plants are large and will produce large numbers of flowers. Spicy fragrance.

BRASSIA CARE INFO:
Potting mix: Fine bark or fine and coarse bark mix. Repot in Spring every 2 years.
Light: Bright indirect - medium light. Shaded South or West facing preferred but ample North and East light should suffice. Protect leaves from direct sun exposure.
Water: Water frequently in hot months when media is dry (about once or twice a week).
Temp: Intermediate-warm (50F min night, 85F max day).
Humidity: 30-60%, tolerant of low humidity.
Fertilizing: Heavy feeding Spring-Summer. 1/2 strength urea-free fertilizer, every other watering as new roots and leaves emerge. Flush the pot once monthly to prevent salt build up. Decrease to once monthly in Winter.
