Banfieldara Guilded Tower 'Mystic Maze' 4in

Similar in appearance to Brassidium, Bandfieldara Guilded Tower 'Mystic Maze' is an interesting hybrid with spindled green and brown flowers and an intricately red spotted lip. This genus is often called the "spider orchid". A rewarding orchid perfect for beginners.

Plant may vary from pictured. Orchid plugs have 1-2 growth points. Plugs range from near blooming size (1-2 years from blooming) to blooming size. Grower selection.  

BRASSIA CARE INFO:

Potting mix: Fine bark or fine and coarse bark mix. Repot in Spring every 2 years.

Light: Bright indirect - medium light. Shielded South or West facing preferred but ample North and East light should suffice. Protect leaves from direct sun exposure.

Water: Water frequently in hot months when media is dry (about once or twice a week).

Temp: Intermediate-warm (50F min night, 90F max day).

Humidity: 30-60%, tolerant of low humidity.

Fertilizing: Heavy feeding Spring-Summer. 1/2 strength urea-free fertilizer, every other watering as new roots and leaves emerge. Flush the pot once monthly to prevent salt build up. Decrease to once monthly in Winter.
