At full maturity Aerangis orchids can produce up to 20 blooms on one spike that will last 6 weeks. They love high humidity and thrive in terrariums, well-lit bathrooms or near a humidifier. They can be grown potted or mounted.

Photographed is not the plant you will receive but is an example of the flowers and morphology to be expected. Unless stated plant will not arrive in bud or bloom.

AERANGIS CARE INFO:

Potting mix: Fine bark or medium bark+sphagnum mix. Repot every 1-2 years as the media breaks down. Can be mounted on cork with sphagnum or tree fern.

Light: Medium-low light. Window direction doesn't matter, but will need ample shade in South and West facing windows. Protect leaves from direct sun exposure.

Water: Water frequently when the media has barely reached dry. High humidity or daily misting will help prevent the media and aerial roots from drying out too quickly. Water at the base of the plant to prevent crown rot.

Temp: Intermediate-warm (55F min night, 90F max day). Will bloom in intermediate temperatures.

Humidity: 60-90%, prefers high humidity with good air circulation or daily misting.

Fertilizing: Light feeding year round. 1/4 strength urea-free fertilizer, every other watering as new roots and leaves emerge. Run clean room temperature tap water through the pot once monthly to prevent salt buildup. Decrease to every 3rd watering if leaf burning is observed.
